Environmental objectives
Environment Wing
Shram Jivi Sewa Samiti's environmental goals are a guiding light in Uttar Pradesh's environmental work and define which environment state policy should steer towards. All actors in society need to increase the pace of implementation of the urgent transition to a sustainable society.
Our environmental goals describe what needs to be done to maintain a sustainable environmental ecosystem. By working actively with the environmental quality goals and milestones at multiple levels in society, we can increase the opportunities to achieve the overall generational goal - to pass on society to the next generation where the major environmental problems are solved.
The environmental goals guide the whole of society
Our environmental goals are part of a larger system consisting of many different actors who work together to achieve the goals. Shram Jivi Sewa Samiti's Environmental Objectives serve as a guide for the entire society's environmental work, both authorities and state administrative boards, municipalities and the business community and other actors. To achieve the goals, the whole society needs to work together.
We are partners with local municipalities of several districts of Uttar Pradesh; we take up projects related to solid waste management, air pollution control, plantation, promotion of organic farming, etc.
We also partner with several national and international organisations to work on environmental awareness. We have organised several training programmes on plantation drives and solid waste management
Progress Reports 2023-2024
An awareness program on 'My plastic is my responsibility' was organised by the institute
The ecosystem of the environment is getting imbalanced due to the increasing plastic waste on earth. Today in the twenty-first century, human society is disfiguring natural beauty by making scientific progress. Soil, groundwater, air, agriculture, food, and other activities are being affected by plastic waste on earth. The institute has ensured that awareness campaigns about the harm caused by the use of plastic are run in schools every year. Plastic awareness campaigns are being conducted by experts from 1 April to 31 March. In this way, a target has been set to reach out to 1100 children every year.
