Water wing's objectives

Safe and readily available water is important for public health, whether it is used for drinking, domestic use, food production or recreational purposes. Improved water supply and sanitation, and better management of water resources, can boost countries’ economic growth and can contribute greatly to poverty reduction. The provision of piped water supply still remains an unachieved goal in Uttar Pradesh. Moreover, a large part of Uttar Pradesh households depends on their own private tube wells and pumps for their daily water needs. Uttar Pradesh has low coverage for both household sanitation and drainage service compared to all India levels. As per the Census 2001, there are about 2.58 crores of households in the State, and only 28 percent of households have individual household toilets.

Our aim is to facilitate awareness about safe drinking water in rural parts of Uttar Pradesh. We closely work with several states and national organizations to implement water-related projects in Uttar Pradesh. 

Bhugrbh jal Awareness programme 2024-2025      

Under the aegis of the Institute Shram Jivi Sewa Samiti, the groundwater awareness program was implemented from 16 July 2024 to 22 July 2024. This is the right time for rainwater harvesting for groundwater growth. A massive awareness program was implemented in Block Saidabad, Handia, Dhanupur for groundwater creation for rural people, farmers, women, boys, girls. Work was done for groundwater storage and conservation through seminars, talks, pad yatra. Along with this, the institute representative has ensured active participation in the programs of district unit groundwater.

The Courtesy of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited , the Rain Water Harvesting structure has been constructed by the Organisation SHRAM JIVI SEWA SAMITI Prayagraj Uttar Pradesh under corporate social responsibility .

Today , on March 20, 2024, construction of rain water harvesting structures was completed at eleven different places in Hnadia Block Uttar Pradesh by SHRAM JIVI SEWA SAMITI  Prayagraj Uttar Pradesh and in collaboration with Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited  New Delhi , which has been a unique program.With the construction o the rain water structure ,rain water harvesting of approximately 110 hectares of area has been ensured. Farmers have been eager to implement the mission and visions of the Government of India by giving their full -coorporation in the construction of rain water harvesting structure . Today in many places underground water is available  i small quantity for the essential needs, in the areas where rain water harvesting structure has been prepared in the under ground water is falling very fast . Sixty percent of the total quantity of under ground water harvesting is being exploited in the area , thus the excessive expenditure on the rain water harvesting is an unfortinate thing,,for which it is very important to build rain water harvesting inrastructure .
